With the latter, the looping selector never goes backward once it’s flicked. It lands right on its destination. Toolkit LoopingSelector calculates a destination, flicks to it and then snaps to closest item (sometimes, it needs to go backward). With this fix, the final destination is always aligned with an item.

2 – Selecting an item programmatically would sometimes reset the control (causing a complete re-balancing and realization of items). In this case, you might see items around the selected item transition from the normal to expanded state while they should directly be displayed as Expanded without any transition. The fix is to change the template to have explicit transitions and, in the backend code, make sure such transitions run only when going from the Normal to Expanded state.

3 – The expanded state has an opacity of 1 for the border. Issue was that a reference to the page was being set when the ContextMenu was loaded which would happen on the source page. If the ContextMenu was part of the Frame and the user navigated to a different page then the page would no longer be valid.

Reduced the number of calls to the popup positioning code, it was happening upwards of 3 times per call. Also stored a member-level reference to the Phone background brush vs. looking it up each time it was needed.
